Commercial ceiling unit coolers application and models

Flat shape and smalll height dual air discharge evaporators, best suited for installation in the center of cold room ceilings to obtain optimum air distribution inside the room.

Intersam dual discharge evaporators range includes three main different Series for high (IPA), medium (IPM) and low temperatures (IPB).

General features

High performance finned coils, built in 1/2” grooved copper tube and corrugated aluminium with 3,5; 6 and 8 mm fin spacing. The frame is manufactured in aluminium sheet, protected by collars. They have a Venture type distribution system for the application of thermostatic expansion valves.

External structure

Manufactured in RAL-9018 white colour polyester high resistance aluminium. The whole structure is compact and highly rigid to avoid vibrations. All pieces are easily dismantled for maintenance.

Helicoidal fans with high performance protection grids and 230 V / 50 Hz singlephase motors (315 or 350 mm. diameter) with IP-54 protection grade, external rotor and low power consumption. All the motors can be wired to the centralized waterproof junction box, according to IP-55 standards.

Defrosting heaters

Defrosting is carried out by 230 V electric heaters, built in shielded stainless steel tube, with vulcanized ends avoiding shunts, inserted in the coil and tray and wired to the waterproof junction box.

All the models may be supplied with defrosting heaters.

- Copper fins for corrosive environments
- Prelacquered aluminium fins
- Bronz Glow
- Heating coil incorporation
- Stainless steel tube
- Tinned copper tube
- Copper tube thickness = 0,63mm.

- Electrical defrost in coil & drip tray
- Hot gas in coil, with heater in drip tray or coil in drip tray (industrial design)
- Drain pan isolated (industrial design)

- 230-400V / 50Hz & 60Hz triphase motors
- Fans with EC regulation

- Installing the full kit of valves (expansion valve, soleinoid valve and shutoff valve)

Options will only be ordered following consultations with the Intersam technical department.

Refrigerant capacity

The capacities of the unit coolers are tested in dry atmosphere (sensible heat) according to ENV-328.

The nominal capacities of the catalogue (sensible heat + latent heat) are referred to the tested capacities (SC2) multiplied by a coefficient (latent heat factor) to consider the increasing of capacity (latent heat) due to the condensation of steam water on the unit cooler surface.

This factor depends of the cold room conditions, for high room temperatures is increasing and for low room temperatures is decreasing, as indicated in the attached table  according ENV-328.
